Cam Monroe, CPA (Retired)
Cam founded Advanced Financial Services in 1990, dedicating his career to helping retirees and pre-retirees plan for their future for over thirty-five years. He earned his accounting degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and spent 14 years running his own CPA practice in Jasper before founding AFS. Today, Cam remains one of the firm’s owners, though he’s retired from working directly with clients — staying involved behind the scenes by sharing the wisdom of his decades of experience with Trae and Erin.
Cam’s approach to guiding clients became the foundation AFS still stands on today:
“If I make a suggestion to my clients, it’s because I would suggest the same solution to a member of my own family in the same situation.”
That principle continues to guide how Trae and Erin work with every client.
Cam and Kim, his wife of more than 50 years, live in Jasper, Texas. Their family has grown to include two children, ten grandchildren, and, most recently, their first great-grandchild. These days, Cam is most likely found traveling with Kim, out on the golf course, or hiking a trail somewhere.
